Keep conversations focused on learning and education. ThatTutorBot is designed to help with vocabulary, writing, and academic support.

Use language that is suitable for an educational environment. Avoid profanity, offensive terms, or inappropriate content.

4. Be Honest

Provide accurate information and don't try to mislead the AI or other users. Honest communication helps create a better learning experience.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are not allowed on ThatTutorBot:

  • Harassment or Bullying: Content intended to harass, intimidate, or bully others
  • Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups
  • Violent Content: Threats of violence, descriptions of violent acts, or content glorifying violence
  • Sexual Content: Inappropriate sexual content or references
  • Self-Harm: Content related to self-injury or suicide
  • Personal Information: Sharing personal information about yourself or others (addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
  • Spam or Scams: Unsolicited messages, scams, or attempts to deceive

Content Moderation

Automated Moderation

ThatTutorBot uses AI-powered content moderation to automatically detect and block inappropriate content. When content violates our guidelines, it is immediately blocked and not processed.

Parent Notifications

For users under 15, parents or guardians are automatically notified when content moderation violations occur. This helps ensure transparency and allows parents to discuss appropriate online behavior with their children.

Consequences

Repeated violations may result in:

  • Warnings and educational messages
  • Temporary restrictions on account features
  • Account suspension for severe or repeated violations

Best Practices

  • Ask clear, specific questions about your schoolwork
  • Use ThatTutorBot to help with homework, vocabulary, and writing
  • Be patient and respectful when interacting with the AI
  • Report any technical issues or concerns to support
  • Take breaks and use the platform responsibly
  • Respect your own privacy and the privacy of others

For Parents & Guardians

Monitoring & Safety

You will receive email notifications when your child's content triggers our moderation system. We encourage you to:

  • Review moderation alerts and discuss them with your child
  • Use these moments as teaching opportunities about online safety
  • Monitor your child's account activity through the Analytics Dashboard
  • Set appropriate expectations for online behavior
